After editing and shooting has come a natural new horizon for James: Directing. James made his directorial debut with the complex WESTSIDE for Netflix, an 8-part scripted/reality tv hybrid that follows the dramatic lives of nine musicians following their dreams in Los Angeles.

His next directing effort was NIGHT STALKER, an intense documentary retelling of serial killer Richard Ramirez’s brutal spree in the mid-80s. He’s attached as a director to several projects set up at prodcos in LA and NYC.
